What is a good way of removing the dark circles (or bags) that can appear under your eyes?

I get these dark circles under my eyes that make me look like I am tired, even when I get enough sleep. I was wondering if there is a simple way of removing those dark circles, and if there is, what are those methods?
All of the advice you have read on this forum is quite reasonable and certainly getting enough rest, fluids, vitamins and general self-care will not do you any harm.
However, many people with dark circles under their eyes can never fully be rid of them. It’s genetic, I’m afraid. I am half-Polish and also have that "death-camp-survivor" look.
What I do, and it’s just my own personal situation, is eat at least one banana per day. After a few days, I swear I don’t look nearly as ghoulish. Again, this is just my own personal experience and I don’t pretend that it’s anything more than that – but give it a try anyway…along with all the other good words of wisdom you have received from others who have answered this question!
Good luck

Hi
Dark cicles are most commonly caused by blockages of the sinuses under your eyes.
Try decongestants or even ask your gp for a nasal spray or a short course of antibiotics which may be useful

I have the same problem. My ENT (ears, nose and throat) Dr. told me it was caused by food allergies. Mainly to foods with yeast in them. Yes it is hereditary, told me that too.
Sorry not much you can do about it.
