What can I do to get rid of dark circles under my eyes?
Posted on January 28th, 2010 by admin
I have these really bad, dark circles under my eyes and I can’t get rid of them. I am getting enough sleep, I eat all my veggies, and I excersize well. I have already tried the tea bags and the spoons, but that didn’t work. The skin underneath my eyes are so thin that you can see the veins, It looks horrible. Please help.
I had a face consultant and she told me that every night for 1 minute and every morning for 1 min, take your ring fingers because they are the weakest fingers and tap tap tap around your eye area. I swear to god i have been doing this for 2 weeks and its made such a difference. Under eye circles never go away and they are hereditary but the reason most people have under eye circles is circulation problems. I promise if you do this tap tap tap within a couple weeks you will notice a difference. Also make sure to moisturize your face with lotion and drink lots of water because your body needs to be moisturized inside and out. I have noticed such a change in my face. Good luck!

Take Vitamins + IRON and drink a ton of water.
Try using Arbonne’s eye cream and lift.
It works really well.

dark circles are usually hereditary… note how a large percentage of italians have them.
if the problem is thin skin than you should probably see a derm to find out what you can do to promote thickening of the skin.
none of those OTC drugs work… go to a doctor… dermatologists are the best doctors out there… they are all about making you look and feel great.

I personally can’t live with out my eye concealer.
Use a shade slightly lighter than your skin tone.
Try MAC products. They’re awesome.

before bed put a spoon in the freezer. when you wake up, place the spoon on each eye for about 30 seconds. if that doesn’t help, use concealer. especially the creamy ones.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.
