1. Apply cool tea bags, an ice cube wrapped in soft cloth, or cucumber slices to your eyes daily. The tannin in tea bags has been shown to reduce swelling and discoloration. Lie down, preferably in the morning, and leave fresh cucumber slices or cool, damp caffeinated tea bags (you can refrigerate them overnight so they’ll be ready) over your eyes for about 10-15 minutes. Keep your eyes closed.
2. Avoid rubbing your eyes. Usually rubbing of the eyes is brought on by allergies, but not always. Regardless of the reason, stop doing it.
3. Use thin sliced potato strips under your eyes. You can also try this with figs. Simply chop the fig in half and place the halves over closed eyes. Leave them there for 15 minutes.
4. Wear sunscreen on your face, but use stronger SPF under your eyes. That way, your dark circles will appear to fade as your skin darkens.
5. Drink two or more glasses of Cranberry Juice everyday. It will be about a week before you notice much difference.
