Home remedies for dark circles under the eyes?

Posted on June 7th, 2010 by admin

I need a home remedy to reduce the darkness under my eyes in a week it just has to reduce them a little as long as the remedy over time will get rid of them all together. Thx =D
@ Cwest129, I try to get enough sleep but I can’t due to extra curriculars, chores, school work, projects etc

See ### below – the happy response from Wannabeblue28 who says treatment got rid of under eye bags/circles as well as giving her a greatly improved skin after one night’s treatment:

I’ve had incredible results massaging with essential oils. They are safe. Oils such as almond, olive, grape seed are good. Quickly and permanently healed ALL of my many skin conditions, rid face of all blemishes and gave me an even skin tone and a clear, healthy and radiant skin. It’s best to vigorously massage into skin. In just two days you will get dramatic results. Massage will tighten skin on cheeks and under and around eye area and thus greatly diminish or completely get rid of bags/circles. The key is vigorous massaging.

Very dark under eye circles.. At home remedies?

Posted on May 5th, 2010 by admin

I’m only 15 years old and I have very dark circles under my eyes. I get a good amount of sleep, I have the dark circles regardless of whether I’m tired or not. I’m only allergic to Penicillin and I don’t go near it so allergies aren’t the reason for my problem either. I drink a good amount of water daily, and I don’t eat many salty foods. I can’t think of what else contributes to dark under-eye circles. I can’t just go out and buy a $100 dollar cream, are there any at home things I can do to make the dark circles less noticeable? I use concealer on them daily but it doesn’t do too much for me.

From what I’ve heard, dark circles under you eyes is caused by thin skin, something you can’t do much to change. ‘The Doctors’ (tv show) recommends using potato slices on your eyes, it is supposed to be good for the skin.

How to remove dark circles under my eyes????

I have this problem for years…I have tried out some of home remedies and some creams in market, it still doesn’t disappear. Sometimes, it shows more darker portion after applying some creams for under eye application. How to get rid of this dark circle?

Dark circles are down to thin skin under the eyes where blood passing underneath can show through, it’s often just genetic so nothing can be done about it but other factors come into it such as lack of sleep, illness, bad diet and allergies.

The usual rules apply with all health and beauty, get plenty of sleep (8+ hours) and good diet – food allergies (dairy and caffine being the most common), lack of iron can contribute to the problem, excessive toxin build-up can be a factor too (drinking lots of water will help). I know from personal experience how important iron is as I have freakishly heavy periods, I always find as a result my eyes become very dark underneath during that time of the month, taking iron really helps prevent my dark circles.

There isn’t that much you can do with dark circles, you can reduce puffiness which in turn helps with dark circles. Have you ever heard of models using hemeroid cream to ease off puffy eyes? Well they do, it works because the active ingredient is witchhazel, this deals with puffiness the same way it’d ease swelling in hemeroids or spots. So look for products or home treatment recipes that contain witchhazel, another tip is using cooled chamomile tea bags applied to eyes for 15 minutes, or keep teaspoons in the freezer to pop under your eyes in the morning.

If all else fails just use a light concealer, but not too light, try using a concealer with a yellow tint to hide dark circles but be sure to dab rather than rub as if you’re harsh under your eyes it can make things worse, try using a sponge or your middle finger which will apply less pressure than your forefinger. I find mascara makes things worse too as half way through the day it ends up under my eyes, so I avoid that problem by dying my lashes which is easy and cheap to do at home, then curl with eyelash curlers before applying a little oil to hold in place and emphasize.

Remedies For Dark Circles
•An instant dark circles remedy is to use the correct concealer. The shade should be lighter than your foundation. If circles are very dark, choose 2 shades lighter. Great choices can be Revlon New Complexion Concealer, Estee Lauder Smoothing Skin Concealer, Cover Girl Smoothers Concealer, or Neutrogena Smoothing Skin Stick.
•Apply a good Vitamin K cream. Vita-K Solution gel or Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue help strengthen capillary walls around the dark circles to make them less visible.
•One should go for laser treatment only if the case is chronic. Lasers can increase production of collagen thereby thickening skin to make dark circles less visible.
•Home remedies for dark circles can include the following:
1.Drink plenty of water to combat dehydration.
2.Wear at least SPF 30 sunscreen to prevent more sun damage.
3.Get enough sleep.
4.Leave cold teabags, cucumber or potato slices, or washcloths with ice cubes on eyes for 15 minutes regularly.
5.Take iron supplements if anemic, but consult your doctor first.
6.Identify the allergens and avoid them. Whether it be pollen, food, whatever, avoidance is the best solution to this. And avoid rubbing your eyes.
•Hylexin is the first dark circles eye cream developed for serious dark circles. Featured in several magazines such as Marie Claire, FashionWeekDaily, The Wall Street Journal , Star and Luck.
•One of the greatest remedies for dark circles is Arbonne’s NutriMinC® RE9 Repair. It’s a corrective puffiness and dark circles eye cream that does additional benefits – firming, moisturizing and repairing the delicate tissue around the eye.

how do u get rid of dark circles under the eyes?

i have dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep. i know if i start sleeping earlier, it would get better but i don’t really have time for that. is there a product that works? or maybe some other remedy?

There are a few things you can do, though unfortunately they are temporary. Firstly, put caffinated black tea bags into some water, steep them for a few minutes, and then put them in the freezer overnight. Then, take them out and put them under your eyes for 10-15 minutes. The caffine in the tea bags and the coldness of them will jumpstart the blood vessels under your skin, making the darkness disappear. Another thing you can do, is make sure you are drinking tons of water! At least 6 glasses per day, the dark circles are sometimes a sign of dehydration.

Lastly, either oversleeping (more than 8 hours) or not getting enough sleep (less than 5 hours) can also contribute.

As for products, go to your local makeup counter and ask for a good under-eye concealer, they work wonders!

[PLEASE HELP] Dark Circles Under Eyes? I use concealer but…?

Posted on April 19th, 2010 by admin

I wake up with dark circles under my eyes EVERY day. I use concealer and pressed powder to try and cover them up, and it works, kinda. I put on the yellow stick concealer, and it doesn’t cover up the circles enough, so I put on pressed powder over it.
My problem is that after I put on all this makeup, it looks nasty and all caked on.

How can I make it look better?
Is there any other remedies for dark circles that ACTUALLY work?

I need to wake up tomorrow without dark circles…

i think you could try brightner under the eyes, because no matter how dark the bags are, a little concealer with brightner on top makes you look really awake. Brightner really works on my eyes, and i have dark circles too. Try not to use powder, because it’ll dry up the skin and flake. Just some simpe concealer with some brightner on top. That’s all it takes. ^^
