dark circles under eyes, any suggestions?

Posted on March 10th, 2010 by admin

I have very dark circles under my eyes. I get enough sleep, but I’m not sure what to do to reduce them. I use a yellow concealer when I wear makeup and that covers them a little bit, but not as much as I would like. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to reduce to the darkness??? Are there any home remedies, over the counter products or permanent solutions?? THANK YOU1

I had the exact same problem. Try a vitamin B12 suppliment… it worked for me, one tablet a day…. another thing you can do is drink more water & reduce your salt intake… oh and vitamin K is also good to get rid of dark circles… you can also try using eye crams & night creams… all these things helped me rid of my dark circles had for THREE YEAARS! lol

I need to know where to buy pink highlight for the dark circles under my eyes.

Coastal Scents Color Corrector Quad, $7.95
It doesn’t have pink, but it has different colors to cover up different things. The yellow is used to cancel out bluish blackish things, aka dark circles.

These ALL work WON-DERS! You can find them at your local pharmacy in the skin-care isle. (try CVS or Walgreens)

Can someone recommend something for dark circles under eyes?

I’m looking for something that actually works and is hopefully $20 or less. I have dark circles under my eyes and loads of sleep still doesn’t fix the problem. I’d really appreciate the help!

Most of it is genetic. I have them to. Just get lots of sleep, and try not be stressed to much. I also have heard that when you cry a lot under eye circles appear darker. Not sure if it’s true tho. Also drink plenty of water. Getting a bit of color in your face as well as putting cold spoons under eyes may help. Get ShiSeido Benefiance Revitalizing Cream. I got mine from Macy’s and just a tiny dab of it does wonders on dark circles.

vitamin E oil, olive oil, cucumbers, & a doctor can also help. I have pretty bad ones so this is all from experience.

Hope this helps. :)

How to conceal dark circles under eyes?

I have tried the yellow toned ones, but they just give the area under my eyes a grayish tinge and it doesn’t match the rest of my face. My under eye circles are horrible and i have no idea how to cover them up. Please don’t say "just sleep more" because i have tried this and is doesn’t work. Also, how do you get rid of the morning under eye puffiness. My puffiness seems to continue into later in the day also.

I would get some good, quality makeup. Sometimes the cheaper stuff can make you look a little cakey they just downright clash with your skin. I typically will make a minor splurge on my undereye concealers, and I think it is worth it. My favorites are Bo-ing by Benefit (it is super easy to apply, stays on, and does its job well) and Corrector by Bobbi Brown (it is very long lasting and the most natural looking- my fave.) I put the links to them online in the sources section, but I would suggest making a trip to some department store makeup counters to get the shade that is sure to match your skin.

Once you start working with a concealer, remember to…

1. Be sure to drink enough water.

2. Wear sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 under the eyes to prevent skin weakening caused by sun damage.

3. Get plenty of rest.

4. Apply plain cool teabags over closed eyes. Don’t use herbal teabags, because most aren’t as effective.

5. Apply cool cucumber slices over closed eyes for 15 minutes.

6. Be careful not to consume too much salt.

7. Apply vitamin K cream. Although studies haven’t looked at the use of topical vitamin K for dark circles under the eyes, preliminary studies have found that vitamin K may help with bruising.

8. Vitamin C helps to strengthen blood vessel walls.

… to keep your peepers happy and healthy even without makeup on!

Good luck!

for a temporary fix, you can put ice or cucumbers on your eyes for a few minutes then use concealer
wear a dark shirt to your senior picture because any other color will make you look kinda weird.
and if you decide to use concealer, make sure you have the right shade or dont go overboard with it. sleep always helps ya know
=] and SMILE!!
