My eyeliner and/or mascara tends to smudge during the day and leave dark circles under my eyes. How can I prevent this? Are there any eye makeup products out there that are like super-smude/water proof?

You should use liquid eyeliner, if you decide to use the pencilstill make sure it is high end.

I have dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep and I wanted to know what tricks work to get rid of them besides more sleep, lol.

I have dark circles under my eyes due to having veins and due to it being hereditary. I wanted to know if smoking marijuana would reduce the dark circles or make the skin thicker under my eyes. Please NO answer like drink water, get good sleep, because Its hereditary not due to lack of sleep.

Nooo it will make it worse. I don’t touch the stuff now but smoked pot when I was younger and it causes, not reverses, those black bags.

Most of it is genetic. I have them to. Just get lots of sleep, and try not be stressed to much. I also have heard that when you cry a lot under eye circles appear darker. Not sure if it’s true tho. Also drink plenty of water. Getting a bit of color in your face as well as putting cold spoons under eyes may help. Get ShiSeido Benefiance Revitalizing Cream. I got mine from Macy’s and just a tiny dab of it does wonders on dark circles.

vitamin E oil,olive oil,cucumbers, & a doctor can also help. I have pretty bad ones so this is all from experience.

i am 16 years old and have terrible dark circles under my eyes. i have had them for as long as i can remember. anyone know anything that can help get rid of these dark circles?
i have tried all sorts of concealers and none of them work. i’ve looked into eye creams but i’ve heard that most of those have to do with aging.. and i don’t have dark circles because of my age.

I have the same problem, and it’s awful :-[ Do you use concealer? I really like Cargo blu_ray concealer [ http://www.cargocosmetics.com/product_81.html ] but it’s a tad expensive. Make sure you apply a finishing powder on top, to make it last longer.

I’ve heard that putting spoons in the freezer then placing them over your eyes helps, but it doesn’t work for me.

I have read that lack of sleep is NOT the reason for dark circles? What is your thoughts about this? And it would be really nice if you knew some HOME REMEDIES for removing them =)

Lack of sleep is one of the common cause of dark circles as the skin will become pale. This allows the blood under the skin to be much more visible under the eyes. Use tea bags as tannin found in tea helps eradicate puffiness.

For a few years now, Ive had dark circles under my eyes. I’m guessing it looks like I don’t eat properly or never get any sleep. I do get plenty of rest and eat relavely healthy. I’m a guy, so a cover-up will make matters worse. They appeared when I was about 15 suddenly. I don’t wear glasses and the only continuing health problem is hypothyroid, which is maintained normally by a daily medicine.

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.
