What is a good way to get rid of dark circles under your eyes?

I have dark circles under my eyes any good home remedies?

There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

i have big and massive dark circles under my eyes….can anyone plzzz give me some home treatment suggestions?

these big dark circles make me look more ugly than i am….i’m 15 now….and i’ve had them for years now….everybody keeps asking me are u sick? looks like u didnt sleep well last night or is this some exam pressure…i am disgusted by my own reflection and i feel so inferior….plzzz help me out…..

the insulting people above me are fucking retarded.

I have problems myself. I cant guarantee this will work but it does help.

1) ice… get an ice pack from walmart something preferably comfortable to sleep with over your face. I chose one that has these little beads it feels like inside. and its cloth outside. its about 9 inches long and about two inches wide. the beads keep the whole thing cool but not uncomfortably freezing.

the reason: some patches or bags under the eye is due to fluid and blood in the area.

2) the other person is right you could have lack of iron which will also cause circles.. take a daily vitamin.

3) there are oil of olay products with Vitamin K. in them. its a small jar, probably the size round of a quarter, and one inch deep. you apply it to the skin around your eyes. you can get it at walmart.

4) its a bit pricey like 10 bucks, but they have in the make section called concealer. look for neutrogena. neutrogena is a brand that deals with skin needs, and makes make up for skin with special needs. read the back of any neutrogena eye products and see if they say "gets rid of circles under eyes, " "or has vitamins blah blah and blah"

I have one, its in a tube, you twist the end, and apply with a cotton tip it has. I like this product. but it helps reduce teh appearance of such stuff. then just add a light powder to blend bebe ;)

How does not getting enough sleep cause dark circles under your eyes?

Posted on November 28th, 2009 by admin

i just dont understand how not getting enough sleep can make parts of your skin darker

Do fatigue and lack of sleep cause dark circles ? The simple answer is No. Almost everyone suffers from dark circles in some stage of their life or other. If you do not get proper sleep you have a tendency to look exhausted and pale and your tender eye regions appear darker than the rest of your face. They will not cause dark circles but could emphasize your already existing dark circles to look darker. The most common cause of dark circles could be due to heriditary reasons. Too much and regular exposure to sun also cause dark circles as it turns the skin pale and the delicate under eye areas look yet paler.Allergies and itching in the eye regions turns the eyes dry and also cause dark circles.Another reason could be age of course! Also lack of vitamins and an unhealthy diet with not enough intake of water and fruit juices could result in dark circles. It is due to this reason that during pregnancy many women do face the problem of dark circles due to lack of essential diets. Some homemade remedies to reduce dark circles could be to drink plenty of fluids, putting tea-bags under the eyes and proper rest alongside your hectic schedule also or else one could opt for various creams available in the market or even consider going under the knife i.e., the laser therapies.

How do you remove those dark circles under your eyes?

Posted on November 28th, 2009 by admin

How do you get rid of them? I’ll put in mind sleeping alot but isn’t there a homemade remedy or a brand name lotion?

There are overnight facial masques available that may help reduce the appearance of puffiness or discoloration, but you can also make your own. Just before you go to bed, take a washcloth and wet it just a bit with cold water. Then squeeze out any excess water and place it over your eyes as you sleep. Treating your skin may help, but the real problem may also be that you have a poor vitamin and mineral absorption problem that must also be corrected. Seeing a naturopathic physician may help for those people who suffer other ailments such as miscellaneous aches and pains that come and go and a general run down feeling

What causes dark circles under your eyes? And what is the Best Method to get rid of them?

Posted on November 28th, 2009 by admin

Just curious how they appear? And how to get rid of them??

In the morning, wash your face with cold water to help blood vessels constrict. Then, apply an eye cream that contains Retinol and vitamin K. Since it may take several months of daily use to see maximum results from the cream, you might want to consider using a little Preparation H to reduce the appearance of your dark circles in the meantime.

If you’re looking for an all-natural way to get rid of dark circles under your eyes, try applying cucumber slices, damp caffeinated tea bags, or an ice cube wrapped in a soft washcloth to your eyes for 10-15 minutes each day. However, if these home remedies seem to make your condition worse, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist. You may be suffering from a more serious skin condition that is causing the dark circles under your eyes.

While eating a healthy diet will help boost your energy and ward off illness, it’s also a great way to reduce the appearance of dark circles under your eyes. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to prevent the vitamin deficiencies that can affect your skin’s appearance. Reducing your salt intake will also help improve the look of your skin, since too much salt can cause the body to retain water in undesirable places.

If you’re feeling very self-conscious about dark circles under your eyes, you can try to use makeup to help camouflage the problem. Typically, a yellow or flesh-toned concealer will be the most effective in reducing the appearance of skin discoloration. Look for a concealer that is one or two shades lighter than your foundation. For free samples and more advice on selecting the products that are right for your skin tone, visit the cosmetics counter of your local department store.

best of luck :)
